As we prepare our summer plans, rosé aficionados you are in for a special treat this summer. New York City’s first large-scale picnic and music festival dedicated exclusively to rosé wine is set to debut this summer at Governors Island.

Pinknic, which was created by the founders of La Nuit en Rosé, will feature rosé wine offerings from Château d’Esclans and Chandon, custom picnic baskets designed by Chef Chris Santos, thousands of specially designed picnic blankets and performances by celebrated international and local musicians.

Chef Santos, who is a resident judge on the Food Network’s hit series Chopped, will curate four completely unique picnic baskets. Each basket will boast a sampling of creative twists and classics from Santos’ acclaimed NYC restaurants: Vandal, The Stanton Social and Beauty & Essex. Picnic-goers can expect raw bar dishes to shaved sirloin, with each basket created to pair with Pinknic’s exclusive rosé wine selections. There will be more than 2,000 bespoke picnic blankets and baskets on display.

“This year, we wanted to combine our love of food, music and, of course, wine to create the ultimate rosé experience,” said Pierrick Bouquet, co-founder of Pinknic and founder of La Nuit en Rosé. “Rosé is not just a wine, it’s an experience and a lifestyle. With Pinknic, we will show the many occasions and moments that are perfect for enjoying rosé wine. It is a wine to be enjoyed with friends, it’s easy to pair with a variety of foods, and is the perfect complement to any summer gathering.”

As for music, event-goers will be treated to an exciting lineup of DJ sets and performances from the likes of Tortured Soul, Miami Horror, Cedric Alexander C.M.A, Claptone, Slow Hands, among others.
