It seems like Hakkasan Group has put its stylish stamp on all the top nightclubs in Las Vegas, with its game-changing and grandiose OMNIA at Caesars Palace and of course the massive namesake spot at MGM Grand. Now the company is adding the ARIA Resort to that list with the stunning JEWEL Nightclub, which resides downstairs where the hotel’s previous nightlife spot, HAZE stood for years. In advance of the anticipated grand opening festivities on May 19th, we preview what you can look forward to from the latest mega club to hit Sin City.
ARIA is known for its high-end shops and restaurants, but it haven’t had an equally lavish nightlife destination to keep guests on the property during the weekends. That’s all set to change with JEWEL’s opening this month. Unlike a lot of popular nightclubs on The Strip, JEWEL is a more “intimate” venue, holding only 2,000 club-goers on any given evening. While the club pales in comparison to the massive size of OMNIA, it still provides patrons plenty of space to spread out and dance the night away. The upstairs of the beautifully designed venue is dedicated mostly to general admission party-goers, sans the five large VIP suites and a few well-placed bottle-service tables. There are a total of 50 of these tables scattered throughout JEWEL and the downstairs features the main dance floor and bar area, which have been designed so that you don’t feel like you have to purchase a bottle to actually have room to breathe. For those looking to indulge in the VIP experience, JEWEL has put together some excellent options. All five of the VIP suites are themed and come with their own custom décor. There’s the Blind Tiger, The Studio which features tons of vintage album covers, the G.O.A.T which boasts iconic sports memorabilia, the Prestige, which is dedicated to all things champagne and the Gallery, which showcases fine-art photography.
The state-of-the –art lighting display at JEWEL is the first of its kind as manufacturer, Ayrton created 54 moving panels behind the DJ booth. One side is decked out with LED lightning and the other is a massive LED screen. The club’s programmers have been working for weeks just to get the intricate display down before the club opens its doors to the public. The grand-opening festivities for JEWEL include DJ sets from some of the tops names in Vegas like Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Lil’ John, plus a special live performance from Jamie Foxx and a promised surprise performance from someone not known to play in Vegas. Time will tell what the regular musical programming will look like, but expect to see Hakkasan Group continue to book top EDM DJs, celebrity hosts with the occasional special events sprinkled in.
If you’re looking for a swanky new place to party in Sin City, JEWEL is set to deliver everything you could want from a big-time nightclub experience but with enough intimacy that makes everyone feel like a VIP.
