When you think of Steve Wynn’s lavish Las Vegas nightclubs, XS and Encore Beach Club come to mind. However, most don’t realize those actually aren’t located in Wynn’s namesake hotel, but rather at the neighboring Encore hotel. With the closing of Wynn’s longtime Sin City nightlife staple, Tryst, Steve Wynn made plans to completely revamp his original nightclub and bring the nightlife VIP experience back to basics.
It’s no secret that all the hottest nightclubs on The Strip have been dominated by over-hyped and overpriced resident DJs for the last six years and Intrigue is finally putting a stop it by focusing on the actual nightlife experience as opposed to booking the same old $500,000-per night EDM resident superstar DJs. It’s a bold move considering Steve Wynn helped usher in this movement in Sin City, but his team is looking to change that with Intrigue. Many people are craving something different from their Vegas nightlife and Intrigue wants to provide it. To that point, Intrigue is keeping things mysterious on the marketing front and they are actually encouraging you to not Tweet, Instagram or Snap Chat while partying. When you come here, they want you to (gasp) live in the moment. Intrigue has all the luxurious and expensive decor that you’ve come to expect from a Steve Wynn venue and this “intimate” nightclub only holds a little over 1,000 guests per night, which will seem like a private party when compared to OMNIA at Caesars Palace or even Wynn’s neighboring Encore Beach Club. Without a doubt the centerpiece of Intrigue is the massive waterfall that has been maintained from Tryst, just given a chic new renovation. There’s a glass-enclosed patio that provides spectacular views of it, so you can even bask in the serene beauty during the winter months too. The bars have also been expanded, so there’s no more congestion, which was a problem at Tryst. Everything here is as should be, simple, stylish and with excellent service.
Intrigue also overs a club-within-a-club, which is located down the stairs and is invite only each night, so expect it to cater primarily to celebrities and VIPs. This luxury room holds roughly 50 people and has a very strict no social media policy enforced. If you are do decide to send out a tweet or take an Instagram selfie, just be prepared to be shown the door and ushered back upstairs to the main club.
For far to long Vegas nightlife has relied on “superstar” DJs to provide the entertainment and now Steve Wynn is aiming to change the nightlife game once again with his Intrigue Nightclub. Come be a part of this new movement by reveling in vintage Sin City debauchery as anything can happen here on any given night.
