Isn’t it time to celebrate Mom all weekend long, especially with a weekend dedicated especially to her? This Mother’s Day weekend, it’s all about honoring that special woman with a day or weekend of celebrations. Whether it’s an afternoon brunch cruise aboard the Odyssey, the “VIP at the MFA” package at XV Beacon (that includes tickets and a courtesy roundtrip Lexus transport to the Museum of Fine Arts along with a stay at the Beacon Hill property) or indulging her in the “Mother’s Indulgence” treatment (available all month long) at the Mandarin Oriental’s spa, now is your chance to shower your mother with the love she deserves. If you are looking to dine out on Sunday, here’s a look at five haute spots in Boston for Mother’s Day brunch.

1 Yvonne’s

If your Mom is a bit old fashioned and loves to stick to tradition, head over to Yvonne’s near Downtown Crossing where the modern supper club will be opening early for brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crack open a bottle bubbly and dine on sweet and savory dishes like Toni’s zucchini bread French toast to honor Culinary Director Tom Berry’s mother, Blanky’s Benny that pays homage to Executive Chef Juan Pedrosa’s mom and Vivian’s Dandelion Salad for the special woman in Chef Preston Miller’s life. Be sure to finish it off with a sampling of Hazelnut Friand Cake, all of proceeds of which will benefit Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer.
