SF: Inside The Mid-Winter Gala Presented by Dolce & Gabbana

The line between fashion and art is always very thin and 2016 Mid-Winter Gala is the perfect example. The fundraiser, hosted by the Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, took place at the Legion of Honor and leave it to fashion house Dolce & Gabbana to define Italian drama in a museum setting. And what a gala that was!

It is not a secret that no other designer celebrates a woman like Dolce & Gabbana. On this night you could see their signature glamour everywhere: flattering feminine silhouettes, embellished ensembles and spectacular bejeweled hair accessories. And who doesn’t want to be a Dolce & Gabbana princess?

The most stunning examples of the latest designs consisted of delicate lace and sheer fabrics with a touch of sex appeal, structured, embellished gowns, and, of course, the “fashion show” would not be complete without floral motifs. The most exclusive gowns were brought from Italy especially for the important occasion.

And what brought the evening together was a personal appearance of Domenico Dolce. Very polite and little shy, the famous designer seemed relaxed and enjoyed himself on the dance floor after the dinner part was over.

Once again, the Mid-Winter Gala was one of the most eventful nights of the year, and there were so many moments that deserve to be mentioned. From the grand beauty of Legion of Honor Museum, the spectacular glamour of Dolce & Gabbana, the great action items, McCall’s catering, wines provided by the Hess collection winery and of course the gorgeous photos by Drew Altizer Photography.
