The installations, inspired by the new collection, are interactive and will span the section of the High Line that runs from Gansevoort Street to 14th Street. They will be on view starting today, Friday, April 8 and run through Monday, April 11.

In partnering with Marimekko this year, Target, famous for its collaborations with major fashion names like Isaac Mizrahi, Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, and Missoni, has developed one of its most vibrant collections ever. “When it comes to our partnerships, we travel far and wide to find designers and brands we think our guests will love,” said Julie Guggemos, senior vice president, product design and development, Target. “For our spring collaboration, that brought us all the way to Finland! We’ve had our eye on Marimekko for quite some time.”

Inspired by the idea of creating an eternal summer (we New Yorkers could only wish!), the new line includes more than 200 pieces—and here’s the good new for style mavens whose fashion dollars are stretched thin—most items are under $50. In addition to clothing and accessories, there’s beach wear, caftans, kid’s clothes, indoor and outdoor decor (and the most stylish set of gardening tools we’ve seen in a long time), furniture, home entertainment items, and even a bike!
Marimekko for Target will be available at all Target stores and on Target.com beginning April 17 through May 8, or while supplies last.
