Chef’s Tasting: Food for Thought

On March 16th at the grand Guastavino’s, foodies and philanthropists will come together for one special cause. Hosted by Anthony Bourdain, Mary Karr and Ali Wentworth the haute affair will be attended by New York’s most sought-after chefs and restaurants. So why are all of these haute culinary stars gathering under one roof?

The 14th annual benefit will support the incredible Urban Assembly Bronx Academy of Letters and honor Toni and Seth Bernstein. All donations raised at the event will directly benefit the nearly 500 middle and high-school students who live in one of our nation’s poorest congressional districts. The night single handedly acts at the primary source of income for the Bronx Academy Of Letter’s vital and life-changing programming.

Here is what you can expect. Imagine tasting stations from New York City’s most talented chefs and acclaimed restaurants, touching speeches from Hosts and Honorees, and a haute auction with incredible wins up for grabs. And when we say incredible wins we mean things like the opportunity to meet Anderson Cooper and tour CNN offices, spend a day behind the scenes at Elle Magazine and much much more.

Amongst the notable chefs and restaurants you will find Eric Ripert and Thomas Raquel of Le Bernardin, April Bloomfield and Katharine Marsh of The Spotted Pig and Julian Medina of Toloache. These culinary hotspots will be offering up some of their best dishes for your tasting pleasures. Take a look at all of the participating restaurants here:
