Some of Boston’s biggest names attended last year’s event, including New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Mayor Marty Walsh. The evening honors members of the Boston Police Department who have demonstrated exemplary service going above and beyond the call of duty throughout the year. Proceeds from the event will benefit the department by providing for items not covered within their annual budget, including new technology and equipment as well as officer wellness and safety programs and community policing programs.
The Boston Police Foundation was formed to provide financial support for the department. The gala is designed to raise not only awareness but funding for the foundation and its programs, including Officer Wellness and Safety, Text a Tip and Crime Watch along with health and stress management programs for Boston police officers.

This year, the fundraiser will also honor Robert Trestan, executive director of the Anti-Defamation League, for his dedication in developing community partnerships and initiatives that provide justice, equality and fair treatment within Boston. Members of the Boston Police Department will share some of their personal stories while guests enjoy a three-course dinner and live entertainment by musicians from the Boston Pops and the First Class Band.
Local sponsors include The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation and The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.bostonpolicefoundation.org.
