Here are five SoCal restaurants with amazing ocean views that you must check out this summer.
1 Mastro's Ocean ClubMastro's Malibu Ocean Club
Mastro's Ocean Club offers up fine dining at its best. Head here for a special occasion and soak in the views of the Pacific while indulging in a signature steak or the eatery's massive seafood tower presented with dry ice. Relax back into the white linen table cloths and cheers your guest with a crystal goblet of wine (or a glass of Dom—it's totally appropriate here) while enjoying some of the most decadent lobster mashed potatoes you'll ever have again. It's a A-list experience, to be sure.

2 Nobu MalibuNobu
Nobu Malibu often tops our lists, but really, how can it not? In addition to its prime location on Malibu's Carbon Beach, ocean views are accessible from many tables, its bar and its lengthy outside patio. Additionally, you're eating some of the finest sushi and Japanese fare available in the world, courtesy of legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa in a sleek, chic environment surrounded by beautiful people. Honestly, it doesn't get much hauter than this.

3 Malibu Farm RestaurantMalibu Farm Pier Cafe
If you're into organic fare, a beautiful view and some seriously amazing cocktails, you're going to love Malibu Farm at the Pier. The inside of the restaurant resembles a ship, and nearly every table has an ocean view. Everything here is organic or kosher, utilizing farm-fresh (ahem), natural and local ingredients. You can order up fresh-pressed juice like apple-kale, or have your juice with some prosecco (we ordered a bubbly watermelon confection and loved it). Dishes like a vegetable 'paella' with saffron couscous , fresh vegetables and tofu is perfectly prepared, as are items like a roasted chicken salad with beets, carrots, apple, faro and caramelized walnuts. There are vegan options as well.

4 The Carbon Beach Club
A dinner at the Malibu Beach Inn's Carbon Beach Club is an experience everyone should have once in their life. This stunning, quiet spot is almost a hidden gem. You'll sit on a patio overlooking the ocean and have an intimate, candlelit conversation as the sun sets over the Pacific. Order a glass of wine from the lengthy international list as you peruse seafood fresh options like a delicately prepared ahi tuna tartare with surprising elements like poppadum, red Indian curry, Persian cucumber, peanuts and micro cilantro, and entrees like a whole branzino, a head-to-tail presentation, with arugula, fennel, olive and roasted tomato. It's ace.

5 Geoffrey’s Malibu
Picture long stretches of Malibu coastline, an endless ocean view excellent service and delectable fare like seafood paella and sautéed day boat sea scallops, and you've got an afternoon meal at Geoffrey's. The restaurant has a certain degree of history as well: as soon as it opened its door in 1948, the eatery immediately established itself as the ultimate destination, hosting the gods and goddesses of its day, including Frank Sinatra, Shirley MacLaine, Lana Turner, a then-unknown senator from Massachusetts by the name of John F. Kennedy and Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe. We love this place as much for its story as we do its panoramic views of the ocean—every seat has an ocean view—its fare and its overwhelming, undisputed beauty. What better way to pass a day?
