5 The Zap Show: A Cultural Revolution

From March 2nd all the way to May 7th, comics are coming back to town, and on a high pedestal. Started by comic book illustrator R. Crumb in 1968, the now infamous Zap Comix became an instant success in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district and later the world. Zap changed the game of the comic book and began an entire underground movement, establishing an adult market for comics and opening the door for millions of talented illustrators. A history recap and a collection of incredible art work, this show is an homage to a cultural phenomenon that forever changed the world of art.
