People often say that you could spend every meal of your entire life dining out and you still wouldn’t be able to try every single restaurant in New York City. Not only because you’d go broke after a week, but because there are simply so many of them. In attempts to help New Yorkers with the overwhelming task of trying the best of what the city has to offer, we have Restaurant Week. Eateries across Manhattan and the burrows are offering special pre-fix menus through February 5th. While this might help you tackle some spots, there are still over 300 restaurants that participate in the citywide effort. We did some of the eating for you and found these five awesome Restaurant Week picks.

1 Essex Restaurant

Lovers of the Lower East Side will be all about Essex. This two-story loft venue perfectly complements the neighborhood with its industrial chic vibe. Their special Restaurant Week menu features starters such as seared ahi tuna, a dozen bluepoint oysters, and their famous Essex potato pancakes. Continue to the main course with the likes of grilled pork tenderloins and pan seared atlantic salmon. You can’t leave Essex without experiencing their peanut butter pie. It’s the perfect choice for a group outing or ‘dinner and drinks’ kind of night.

2 Noreetuh

High-end Hawaiian cuisine. Those three words when put together, create something truly beautiful. Noreetuh is one of the only New York eateries to serve authentic Hawaiian eats, let alone in the luxury realm. They have entered unchartered waters and are creating a whole new culinary landscape in the city. Their Restaurant Week starts with options like kalua pork croquettes and Hawaiian hearts of palm. For mains your mouth will water over their pineapple braised pork belly or chow noodles. The meal ends on an interesting note with Hawaiian desserts like azuki bean and coconut tapioca or king’s Hawaiian bread pudding. 3 21 Club

You can’t go wrong at the 21 Club. This old-school intimate spot is a former 1930s speakeasy, and little has changed since. The quality of people who frequent here have a deep knowledge and taste for the finer things in the city. These are the kind of people who genuinely care about service, ambiance, and consistently incredible eats; the kind that you should trust. This restaurant attracts so many A-listers that they actually have a map of where celebrity regulars are seated. And when we say celebrity, we mean the likes of Rod Stewart and Whoopie Goldberg. 4 ABC Cocina

ABC Cocina is known for their commitment to offering the freshest and safest ingredients. Their seasonal menus focus on locally sourced produce intended on cultivating a healthy relationship on our tables and for the planet. Esh is one of Brookyln’s best restaurants. An international background from Israel to Scotland to LA to Brooklyn has now brought you a worldly restaurant for wood-fired Israeli BBQ. The cozy eatery is the perfect place to grab a quirky cocktail with good company. Through the end of Restaurant Week the team at Esh have curated a special menu.
