One of the most unique fine dining experience you can have is spending an evening at a gourmet fondue restaurant. Las Vegas finally has a proper one with Echo & Rig founder, Sam Marvin and LEV Restaurant Group’s Jeffrey Fine’s new downtown endeavor, F. Pigalle.
The distinctive name is a reference to Paris’ famous Quartier Pigalle, which was the home of the Moulin Rouge dancers. In fact, all of F. Pigalle’s interior design is a node to Paris’ red light district. You can dine in private red booths and all of the walls are adorned with vintage French newspapers. It’s a very intimate and romantic dining experience, so if you’re looking to impress a date, F. Pigalle is one of 2016’s best bets in Sin City. Plus, they stay open until 4am, so you can always head here for a decadent post-debauchery meal that sure beats a standard diner.
We love a good fondue and there are some exceptional offerings on hand here. All of the prices are very reasonable, so you can feel comfortable sampling several dishes at a time. There’s the traditional cheese of course, but if you’re looking for something with substance, the shrimp or steak options will (literally) melt in your mouth. Make sure you save some room for dessert as the chocolate fondue is a standout, especially when paired with some fresh fruit to dip it in.
Wine lovers are in for a treat as there is unlimited wine served at F. Pigalle by way of baby bottles with every fondue pot ordered. This is a nod to an old Parisian glass tax from the early 1800’s and it’s certainly a trip to see patrons sucking down their favorite white or red wines in this format. If you venture to the very back of the restaurant you will come across the Red Light Bar, where all the expertly made craft cocktails have been influenced by the notorious Nightjar bar in London.
Downtown Las Vegas continues to house some of the city’s finest new restaurant offerings and F. Pigalle is another shining example. For a dark, sexy and distinctly European dining experience in Sin City, this is the place.
