SANTANA, BOTTI, STING HIGHLIGHT DUBAI JAZZ FESTIVAL
The Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival or Jazz Fest, is kicking off the 14th edition on February 24, 2016 at the Dubai Media Center Amphitheatre and offers an amazingly haute lineup.
With the theme of ‘Much More Than Jazz’, attendees can expect twice the jazz and more of the classic rock, indie rock, pop and urban – an unbeatable mix of quality live entertainment.
The multi- talented and award-winning guitarist Carlos Santana will perform again at the Jazz Fest. Also returning is Sting along with Chris Botti, who are sure to stun audiences with their dual performance. US pop-rock band TOTO will also perform at Dubai Jazz Fest and Youtube sensation Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) will be opening for them, covering pop songs with a vintage twist.

LAST CHANCE TO SEE EXHIBITIONS PREVIEWED DURING WAREHOUSE421 NOVEMBER LAUNCH
1:100 THE WAREHOUSE REIMAGINED & ART: PROCESS AND PRACTICE CLOSE FEBRUARY 28, 2016
During the launch of Warehouse421 in November, four key exhibitions previewed to the public and art community focused on themes of memory and transformation. After more than three months on view, 1:100 The Warehouse Reimagined and Art: Process & Practice come to a close on February 28, 2016.
The Warehouse Reimagined presents various artistic representations of 3-dimensional warehouse models and explores the idea of transformation and preservation in revolutionary cities.
Process & Practice showcases the work from graduates of the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship program, highlighting procedures of creating and making art.
The exhibitions Lest We Forget: Emirati Family Photographs 1950-1999, is ongoing until 18 June, 2016 and Mina Zayed: Through the Lens of Jack Burlot, until 19 March, 2016.
VISITORS TO EXPERIENCE AWARD WINNING RESTAURANTS AT TASTE OF DUBAI
Restaurants Bistro Des Arts and The Croft are awarded The Food Writers Award by esteemed panel of judges.
The critically acclaimed Food Writers Award has been given to restaurants Bistro des Arts and The Croft who will both be part of Taste of Dubai taking place from March 10 – 12, 2016.
The coveted awards are presented to celebrate and spotlight new, home-grown, independent, entrepreneurial restaurant brands. The restaurants were chosen by an esteemed panel of judges who were enlisted by Taste of Dubai to choose the city’s top restaurants. The panel included Penelope Walsh (editor of HotelierMiddleEast.com), Samantha Wood (publisher of FooDiva) and Stacie Overton Johnson (food writer for The National).
Both award winning restaurants provide unique offerings to their diners. Bistro des Arts is a quintessential 1970 Parisian bistro, serving a repertoire of classic “Terroir” French home-style food. The Croft Restaurant & Terrace serves classic dishes cooked with modern techniques and look to source their produce locally and organically to showcase the flavours and support local producers.
Taste of Dubai, in association with and taking place as part of the Dubai Food Festival 2016 (25 February – 12 March), returns to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from Thursday 10 to Saturday 12 March. Taste of Dubai will run from 4pm – 12am on Thursday, 12pm – 12am on Friday and 12pm – 11pm on Saturday.
