New Miami Beach Haute Spot: Sweet Liberty Drink and Supply Company

Beast of Bourbon

Miami’s very own bartending superstar John Lermayer has given Miamians the sweet liberty to change up their South Beach game with Sweet Liberty Drink and Supply Company. See what we did there? Lermayer has teamed up with fellow bartending pro Dan Binkiewicz and restaurateur David Martinez to give Miami Beach just what it needs – world-class cocktails, creative American food, and a ‘neighborhood, unpretentious vibe.’

“I’ve been very fortunate to experience some of the greatest bars around the world. I really feel it’s the neighborhood spot that South Beach deserves. It’s about accessible luxury; it’s about community. We aim to be a bar that the people of Miami can be proud to call their own” Lermayer says.

Sweet Liberty is part of the “new Miami Beach,” strategically placed in the up-and-coming Collins Park area, beside the Bass Art Museum. And with their collective extensive experience within the industry, the team has created cocktails, food, and an overall vibe that everyone can enjoy. The bar features an extensive and intelligent collection of spirits including rare and extinct selections, as well as bottled cocktails, house-made sodas, and wine-based drinks.

Signature drinks not to miss:

Velvet Sideswipe: Mezcal Vida, Spiced Pineapple, Agave Nectar, Lemon served over crushed ice and drizzled with Sweet Vermouth

Collins Park Sour: Fords Gin, Créme de pêche, Orange Blossom, Egg White & Matcha

The Big Banana: Julep Banana Infused Bourbon, Jamaican Rum & Mint served in an oversized silver julep cup

The food menu will feature “honest gastropub-style food,” and creative spins on classic American dishes, like cauliflower nachos and New Orleans oyster po’ boys.

Guests will also have the luxury of bringing home top-of-the-line Cocktail Kingdom barware, as well as books, local art, and music from Sweet Liberty’s in-house cocktail supply shop.

Sweet Liberty Interior

Overall, the entire space feels effortless and relaxed. Lermayer explains “the goal was to create more of a feel than a look. We feel the design is reflective of what the people who live in Miami Beach want and can relate to.”
