Kristina Fidelskaya is the face that is launching 1,000 haute ships. She’s the designer of an upcoming Prêt-à-Porter brand, and has spearheaded contemporary luxury fashion brand in her name.
Launched in early 2014, and headquartered in Dubai, the brand currently features a range of luxurious designer pieces with plans of expanding to a full collection of ready-to-wear, jewelry and accessories.
Kristina’s love for fashion stemmed at a young age, watching her mother create unique pieces at a time in history where the concept of individuality and expression was against the norm. She later studied at Dubai’s Esmod Fashion Institute and, like her mother, discovered that fashion as an art form became her creative outlet.
Mixing vintage styles with her current cultural fascinations, Kristina effortlessly creates elegant and timeless clothes that speak to every woman. As an entrepreneur, a mother and a trendsetter, her collections symbolize the power and independence of the modern woman while maintaining the traditionally refined femininity and class.
The fashionista and corporate chief sat down with our Nasrine Abushakra to discuss how she keeps everything flowing seamlessly and what comprises the must-have items on her desk.

What does your average day look like?
During the weekdays, my average day starts off making sure my two children are ready for school, then I head to my atelier and showroom so I can go over what needs to be done in terms of preparation and last-minute touchups or finishing on my upcoming AW16 collection.
What top five items comprise your desktop arsenal? Why?
The top five items from my desktop arsenal can be considered to be old school items, especially when it is time to start focusing and drawing my designs. I need to have pencil, sketchbook, eraser, ruler and my fabric book. Each item is essential and vital in creating my designs, putting my thoughts and ideas on paper and finally to completing the piece with the fabric.
What is one desktop item you just cannot live without?
One desktop item I cannot live without is my color palette. Colors have become my source of inspiration that are honestly not just found within a palette but everywhere within our surroundings.
What are some must-have dresses for the holiday season?
Some of the must-have dresses for the holiday season feature winter-inspired patterns, color-blocking several unexpected seasonal shades as well as mixing different fabrics and textures together.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration is my mother. She was a creative spirit herself who taught me how to channel my creativity, through fashion, to create designs – specifically designs that are true to who I am as a designer.
What is your favorite spot in Dubai?
There are many spots that I enjoy going to but my favourite is Jumeirah Beach Hotel. It’s my go-to spot, not only for me since I love being near the sea but it is also my children’s favorite spot. I go there to unwind and relax after a tiring weekend.
