Dubai Shopping Festival Kicks Off in Haute Style

The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is the grandest shopping and entertainment exhibition throughout the Middle East and in 2016 it is celebrating its’ 21st anniversary in haute style. Kicking off on January 1, 2016, the DSF features incredible values by the most glamorous designers and notable names in the world of fashion and design. DSF also features celebrity performances and a plethora of incredible events to celebrate the emirate’s favorite pastime.

Carpet & Art Oasis Gains Popularity as Part of DSF

Thousands of visitors will be flocking to the Dubai Shopping Festival (DFS) to attend the Carpet & Art Oasis of Dubai Customs. Launched in 1996, The Oasis provides a treasure trove of exquisite and priceless carpets created and carried by traders from across the globe.

Organized under the theme “Dubai: City of Carpet”, the Carpet & Art Oasis 2016 will for the feature an entire exhibition pavilion sponsored by the Azerbaijan Government displaying artistically unique hand-woven pieces.

The 2016 Carpet Oasis features over 250,000 carpet items presented by 54 exhibiters from seven countries around the world, including tens of thousands of silk products from Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, and Eastern Europe. Carpet Oasis will also offer a large collection of antique souvenirs.

Glamour of Horse Racing Continues at Meydan Racecourse

Meydan Racecourse continues to draw haute crowds at their Racing at Meydan series. These races are considered a stepping stone into the premiere leagues like the Dubai World Cup Carnival and the ultimate race, the Dubai World Cup. It also gives local and regional talents a chance to show off their potential. A total of nine races will be held at different dates. Check the link below to see the full schedule.

Traveling Cristiano Ronaldo Museum Opens at CR7

Fans of football in Dubai were thrilled as the traveling Cristiano Ronaldo-themed CR7 museum opened in Dubai. Curated by Miguel Paixao, the exhibition is at The Beach District in Dubai until January 31.

Featuring a life-size wax statue of Ronaldo, gift store with jerseys, bags and autographed merchandise, guided tours about Ronaldo’s life and trophies that he’s won, the museum is open daily from 10am-1am.

The CR7 Museum will end on January 31, so be sure to take your favorite football fans to catch this event before it’s over.
