Haute Insider: NYC Holiday Happenings

The Lambs Club Dining Room Shot The Lambs Club Holiday Photo FireplaceNew York is one of the best places on the globe to spend the holidays. Weather it’s shopping you love or visiting the Rockefeller plaza tree with a little post-tree ice skating, New York has got it all. We’ve compiled a list of some of your favorite places that have little known holiday special activities and other holiday goodies. Enjoy!

Tiffany & Co is a must see for visitors to NYC. You may even catch someone proposing marriage to their partner right in front of the copper Tiffany’s sign. It’s always a treat to see The Tiffany Diamond which they discovered in 1877 in the mines of South Africa. The mammoth gem is 268 carats and is set with a white diamond necklace worth millions alone. You won’t be disappointed!  Pop in to view it on the main floor then take an old-fashioned elevator ride ( including an elevator guide sporting a turquoise scarf or tie).  Don’t forget to check out the miniature holiday windows just the right size to display the gorgeous jewelry they are known for.

The Palm Court at the iconic Plaza Hotel is a great place to stop for a bit of grand old New York and a spot of  tea—that’s English style with petite sandwiches piled high on the graduated platter.
