As you prepare to gather the wish-list of your little ones this holiday season, we have uncovered a haute gift that will epitomize the phrase, “Stunting like my daddy (or mommy).” The luxury brand Land Rover, which specializes in four-wheel-drive vehicles, is creating a Land Rover Defender pedal car.

The pedal car is built by hand, and each pedal car has an aluminum body. Your little ones will be able to traverse rougher terrain thanks to the rubber tires and spring suspension. The car even has a parking brake and can be ordered with a personalized license plate.

If the exterior isn’t luxe enough, the interior features a number of posh trimmings. Leather is fitted over the seats and steering wheel. It’s even used for the cover on the cargo bed in the back. Engineers have drawn on their passion and experience for creating special commissions by constructing an authentically styled dashboard. It is hand finished in the same Loire Blue found on the full-scale Defender color palette.

The exclusive Defender pedal car is hand built in the UK and styled to commemorate the legacy of the first-ever pre-production Land Rover affectionately know as ‘Huey’ given its original numberplate of ‘HUE 166’.

Jaguar Land Rover’s Director of Branded and Licensed Goods Lindsay Weaver said, “This is both a wonderful collector’s piece and children’s toy. It demonstrates our ability to produce goods with world class quality and attention to detail that can emulate our world class Jaguar and Land Rover cars.”

The final production version of the Land Rover pedal car concept is expected to cost around £10,000 ($15,200). It is slated to be available next spring.

The Land Rover Defender has been one of the most iconic vehicles for the brand for 65 years. It is touted as the epitome of toughness, of ruggedness, of strength and most importantly of capability, according to Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer.

Currently, the 2015 Defender features new premium Windsor leather inserts, which are available in three colors; Ebony/Pimento, Ebony/Tan or Ebony/Lunar. To complete the look, when a consumer selects the seats, the front centre stowage compartment will feature contrast leather highlights.
