SHINOLA LAUNCHES WYNWOOD BOUTIQUE
Detroit-based phenonmenon Shinola, has chosen Wynwood for its 10th US location. The brand, which makes most of it’s product in the United States, utilizes the talents of its craftspeople with its high-quality materials to construct products from designer bicycles to lavish leather goods. Watches are made in Detroit using Swiss movements and former auto workers. In addition to leather journals, handbags and apparel, they also have a Bruce Weber pet collection to keep Fido chic. To kickoff the inauguration, Shinola will be teaming up with The Institute of Contemporary Art to select a local artist to curate its opening mural.

LOUIS VUITTON: OBJETS NOMADES EXHIBITON
Louis Vuitton brings fashion to furniture with the exposition of the Objets Nomades collection of foldable chairs and travel accessories. Developed in 2012, the Objets Nomades collection, a tribute to the brand designs of the past, has expanded to a total of 17 pieces with divine hammocks, deco- rative lights, and easy-to-use foldable chairs. Get a firsthand look at the collection during the Louis Vuitton Design District Store’s Exhibition from Dec 3 to Feb 10. The exhibition will give a world first look of designer Marcel Wanders’ lounge chair, which will be featured in two different styles: clas- sic Louis Vuitton colors and Ocean Drive-inspired turquoise. Always in pursuit of reinvention, Louis Vuitton has also collaborated with well-known artists and new-to-the-scene designers including Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baas, the Campana Brothers, Barber and Osgerby, Damien Langlois- Meurinne, Atelier Oï, nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas and Raw Edges.

LENNY KRAVITZ FLASH
The Lenny Kravitz-FLASH photo exhibit will be opening Dec. 2-6 for the Art Basel and Design Miami fairs sponsored by The Leica Galleries and Reiner Opoku, a Berlin-based art advisor. The exhibit will include a selection of more than 50 photographers including work by singer, songwriter and actor Lenny Kravitz; this will be his photographic debut. In his photographs, he captures what it’s like to live the life of a famous musician in the public eye. The photographs also document the musician’s world tours and offer unusual insights into his nomadic lifestyle. Also, a limited special-edition Leica camera, developed in collaboration with Kravitz and his creative firm Kravitz Design Inc., will be on sale at the event.

FENDI DESIGN DISTRICT
Fendi will kickoff Art Basel with its grand opening party at its brand-new Design District boutique. Silvia Venturini Fendi and Pietro Beccari will host an array of exclusive guests, while the musical ambiance will include a DJ set performed by Solange Knowles and music by Chelsea Leyland. The 5,400 square-foot showroom is a piece of art in and of itself, and the night’s attendees will partake in exploring the sleek designs of brick and texturized materials throughout. The boutique features both the men’s and women’s collections.

LOWE OPENS “CHANCE ENCOUNTERS” EXHIBIT
For the inaugural exhibition in the Loewe Design District Store, the Loewe Foundation will show “Chance Encounters,” a development fash- ioned by creative director Jonathan Andersen. The installment portrays the unexpected exquisiteness of the chance encounter using derived conversations from four prominent British artists’ works: Anthea Ham- ilton, Paul Nash, Lucie Rie, and Rose Wylie. The exhibition will be setup in an 18th century Spanish granary building, which Anderson had trans- ferred from a small town between Galicia and Portugal. The center of the exhibit will include ceramic pieces from Austrian-born British potter Lucie Rie. To catch a glimpse of the scene, guest can view it from Decem- ber 2 to January 17.

JEFF KOONS SCULPTURE AT BAL HARBOUR SHOPS
An 11-foot tall, stainless-steel sculpture called “Pluto and Proserpina,” by Jeff Koons was unveiled at the entrance of Bal Harbour Shops on November 12. This is the first and only Koons museum piece on public display in Miami. Koons, the highest-paid living artist in the world, based the piece off a porcelain sculpture of Pluto and Proserpina from the late 1700s in France. The multi-million dollar sculpture was loaned to the Shops by Oceana Bal Harbour in honor of its 50th anniversary. It will be on display at the redesigned porte-cochere of the luxury outdoor shopping center through spring of 2016.
