While it doesn’t snow that often on the Las Vegas Strip, there are some fun ways to get into the holiday spirit without having to endure the freezing cold temperatures of New York City. Starting Friday, Nov. 20th, the Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan Hotel returns for its fourth year, bigger and better than ever.
The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan spans a massive 4,200 square feet and provides you with real ice to skate on while enjoying a stunning view of The Strip. To help get you feeling festive, there are real snow showers scheduled every half hour between 6-10pm Wednesday through Sunday. The Cosmopolitan is also planning special holiday movie screenings and seasonal culinary offerings, including specialty cocktails and and even a fire pit to roast s’mores.
Throughout the winter months, you will be able to enjoy special nights at The Ice Rink such as Vice’s “Industry Skate on The Strip,” which turns the ice rink into an outdoor nightlife experience featuring DJs spinning uptempo grooves until midnight. The fan favorite, “Date Skate,” is back and takes place on Mondays. Skaters can canoodle on the open ice as classic holiday movies like Home Alone, A Christmas Story and It’s a Wonderful Life are screened each week on The Cosmopolitan’s massive digital marquee. Another fun night to look forward to is “Throwback Thursdays,” which turns the rink into a wild themed skating party set to popular songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The Ice Rink will stay open through Jan. 3rd, operating Monday through Friday from 3pm to midnight. On the weekends the rink opens at 12pm and closes at midnight. An all day skating pass is $15 for visitors or $10 for Nevada residents. You can also bring your own skates or rent a pair for $5, making this an affordable and fun Las Vegas adventure.
Celebrate the holiday season Sin City style at The Ice Rink and enjoy a festive experience that you will be talking about for years to come.
