LE ZOO

le zoo

AMBIANCE
Festive lighting and a lush, palm-lined patio come together in a brasserie setting to deliver a piece of Paris á la Stephen Starr to the Bal Har- bour Shops.

WHAT TO EAT
Head straight to the classics with steak frites, trout amandine, onion soup gratinée or some- thing a little different like angel hair with king crab.

WHAT TO DRINK
Rosé Champagne, of course. A bottle of Dom Perignon or Ruinart should do the trick for the table.

SWEET TOOTH
Try the French favorite, baba au rhum, with a scoop of artisanal ice cream.

FOOQ’S

Fooq's

AMBIANCE
Fooq’s is a cozy spot, fully equipped with wood- en benches, throw pillows and a cookbook-covered coffee table. There is outdoor and indoor seating, so guests can pick their scenery.

WHAT TO EAT
The Persian lamb shank (for two) is a 15 oz. bone-in-lamb, accompanied by harissa hummus, herb yogurt, zaatar naan bread and natural jus.

WHAT TO DRINK
Get a good red to accompany the lamb. Try their Beronia Reserva with hints of smoky dark fruit and toasty oak.

SWEET TOOTH
Order the Persian sundae, an unusual and delightful combination of rosewater and saffron gelato, which is made by Midtown’s Latteria Italiana.

CYPRESS TAVERN

AMBIANCE
The Cypress Room has metamorphosed into Cy- press Tavern, an upscale bar and grill giving the eatery more approachable. It’s still an elevated dining experience, however, filled with classic French brasserie style food. It includes new menu items, new prices and some aesthetic changes.

WHAT TO EAT
Enjoy old favorites like the Cypress burger, roasted short ribs, bucatini carbonara and French onion soup. Or try some of the new appetizers and entrees like pork schnitzel and niçoise-style albacore tuna.

WHAT TO DRINK
Don’t miss out on the cocktails. Try the US-1 & 75th with Borgoluce Prosecco, Michter’s US-1 Bourbon and lemon, or the Doctor’s Orders with Noble Dame Calvados, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, lemon and cinnamon-sugar rim.

SWEET TOOTH
Love coffee? Get the Espresso Semifreddo with crushed hazelnuts and caramel sauce. Or keep it French with the chocolate Pot de Crème, served with toasted brioche and whipped cream.

IZZY’S FISH AND OYSTER

izzy's fish and oysters

AMBIANCE
Izzy’s nails the New England neighborhood restaurant feel that is part beach town, part Miami sophistication.

WHAT TO EAT
The raw bar offers up six varieties of East Coast oysters. The Maine lobster rolls, another New England staple, can be ordered hot or cold. For something more decadent, go for the Golden Potato Gnocchi that includes oysters and American caviar.

WHAT TO DRINK
Izzy’s Fizzy is their signature cocktail made with Beefeater gin, Campari, egg white, citrus and carbonated cherry. The Green Monsta is great too, made with absinthe, Atlantic rum, coconut, piña and mint.

SWEET TOOTH
The Boston cream pie or the lemony meringue pie made from Grandma Celia’s recipe book are the best bets.
