The restaurant scene on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas boasts some of the best new spots in the city. Since the revitalization period began a few years ago, more and more boutique bars and restaurants are opening up. A firm favorite among Las Vegas locals is Park on Fremont, which is a unique gastropub that pairs innovative comfort food with a stunning street-side outdoor patio.

Park on Fremont is located right across the street from where the famed Fremont Street Experience starts. It is also where you’ll find most locals packing the patio to people watch during the busy weekends. Here you can enjoy an unobstructed view of all the shenanigans while sipping on some signature cocktails (served in mason jars no less) or the fine craft beer selections that are on tap. The talented mixologists on staff serve up fresh cocktails like The Hopster, which combines agave tequila with fresh lime juice and grapefruit beer. There’s also the Pillow Talk, which infuses pear vodka, with fresh strawberries, cucumbers, lemon, orange, mint, with a splash of club soda that makes for a most refreshing spirit. However, our personal favorite is the flavorful, A Walk In The Park, where you can request either vodka or gin to be combined with Elderflower liquor, sparkling wine and some fresh season fruit to top it off. You can order a glass for just $8 or get a full carafe for $20.

As for the food, Park on Fremont has some yummy starters they dub, “Pickings,” where you can savor housemade mac & cheese balls, fried pickles and fish tacos. Be sure to try their special garbage fries too, which come layered with melted cheddar and provolone cheese, bacon, jalapeños, green onions, tomatoes, chipotle peppers, avocado and topped off with a fried egg. These “Pickings” are so filling they can be enjoyed as a meal unto themselves, but Park on Fremont also has dinner options too. The restaurant serves up big, classic burgers, philly cheese steaks and its popular fried chicken and waffle sandwich. If you’re looking for some veggie options, fear not, as its friendly vegetarian wrap is light yet satisfying.

Park on Fremont is also one of the best places to do brunch in Downtown Las Vegas. Running from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and until 5 p.m. on Sundays, you can savor the indulgent experience all day. Especially when you’re downing glasses of their notorious Patio Pounder pitcher, which is what will have you coming back again and again. For $20, you get a full bottle of champagne and a carafe of fresh-squeezed orange juice to sip while you’re relaxing under the sun out on the patio.

With its hip atmosphere, close proximity to the Fremont Street Experience and of course fantastic menu options, Park on Fremont needs to be on your “must-try” list the next time you’re in Las Vegas.
