Halloween weekend is finally upon us and Sin City is the prime place to enjoy some extravagant celebrations! We’ve already shared our top five parties to attend, but there are so many fun things for you to do this weekend we’ve got a few more haute happenings to share.

The popular Cirque du Soleil show featuring the biggest hits from The King of Pop will be celebrating Halloween weekend by ramping up the “Thriller” portion of the show. Audiences will be treated to some death-defying acrobatics, elaborate sets and plenty of zombie dancing. If you’re looking to take in a show while you’re in town and want to get in the Halloween spirit, this is the “one” to see.

This will be the first event at Mandalay Bay’s LIGHT nightclub since new management took over and they’ve put together the Halloween-themed Forbidden Ball featuring Ludacris. It will be interesting to see how LIGHT will change under the new regime, but it’s safe to assume that their inaugural bash will be a ghoulishly good time.

The Palm’s Ghostier Dayclub (GBDC) is planning an epic daytime AND nighttime Halloween bash, where they will also be holding a $20,000 costume contest. GBDC has established itself as one of the wildest and zaniest parties currently going in Sin City, so you should expect that to only ramp up for the Halloween soiree.

Lonnie Hammargren’s Nevada Day Open House

Lonnie

The 20th annual Nevada Day Open House at former Lieutenant Governor Lonnie Hammargren’s sprawling 12,000 square foot estate takes place on Saturday and Sunday. If you really want to learn about the history of Las Vegas and get a personally guided tour of one of the most extravagant estates on the planet, this is your chance. Lonnie and his wife, Sandy, have lovingly preserved everything from massive Sin City casino signs to exact replicas of Stonehenge. They open their doors to the public once a year for the annual Nevada Day Tours, which are truly a marvel that must be experienced at least once.
