Mr Fogg’s is a recreation of the Victorian home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg. Modelled on the very Mayfair house in which Phileas would have lived after travelling Around the World in 80 Days. It is the first West End project from Inception group, whose founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling have also created Chelsea speakeasy Barts, 80s themed nightclub, Maggie’s, and the acclaimed Bunga Bunga, an Englishman’s Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke venue. Last year they also launched Brazilian-inspired bar Cocobananas, and Beaver Lodge, a mountain bar and dance saloon based on the log cabins found in Jackson Hole Wyoming. This past spring, they brought high spirits underground with late night 1940s-inspired bar, Cahoots and this autumn, a real gem of a Tavern will arrive in the heart of the West End with the opening of Victorian-inspired Mr Fogg’s Tavern.
