Lodge d’Argent Returns To Coq d’Argent

Following the success of last year’s Lodge d’Argent winter pop up, City restaurant Coq d’Argent will once again be creating a magical Alpine themed winter wonderland. Designed by AM Creative and running from 18 November until the end of February, Lodge d’Argent will evoke the feeling of winter with twinkling lights, frosted Christmas trees and rafts of wintery ferns adorning the space. The chic white and gold scheme throughout the terrace and luxurious fur blankets will allow guests to snuggle up while enjoying indulgent dishes and cocktails against the wintery backdrop.

This year, head chef Damien Rigollet’s Lodge menu will focus on the well-loved potato bake from the French Alps, the hearty Tartifflette. It features  twists such as the Black truffle tartifflette (Reblochon, potato, black truffle, pancetta, confit shallots), Sweet potato tartiflette (Reblochon, sweet potato, black truffle, pancetta, confit shallot) and an earthy Vegetarian tariflette (wild mushrooms, reblochon, potatoes and confit shallots). The dessert menu will offer dishes paired with Hennessy Cognac and include Chestnut macarons, Vanilla creme brulee, Pomme verte apple parfait and Bitter chocolate fondant with praline ice cream.

There will also be a menu of classic and contemporary French après-ski snacks, perfect for sharing. Think Diots sausages, creamy cabbage and carrots, Venison burger with caramelised pear, cranberries and chips and Raclette gratin with ratte potatoes and Alpine dry cured ham.

The bar will be transformed into a cosy chalet, complete with rustic wooden chalet walls, vintage skis, animal horns and cosy knits. Expect a selection of winter warmer cocktails such as Alpine Sour (Hennessy Fine Cognac, apricot brandy, lemon juice, aromatic bitters and egg white) and the Avalanche (Hennessy Fine Cognac infused with apricot and earl grey tea, apricot brandy, peach puree, lemon juice and egg white) sure to make Lodge d’Argent the perfect winter retreat.
