With the fall season quickly approaching, it’s time to start thinking about embracing warmer clothes and culinary options. One of the best dishes for this time of year is a hearty bowl of ramen noodles, and not the variety you consumed in college. The new Downtown Las Vegas restaurant, Itsy Bitsy Ramen and Whiskey, has taken everybody’s favorite noodles to the next level by pairing them with delicious tapas, and some top shelf whiskey.

When owner Ryan Doherty opened the aptly named Itsy Bitsy Ramen and Whiskey in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas earlier this year he aimed to introduce a new dining experience to the area. The restaurant’s assortment of create-your-own ramen bowls and rice dishes are some of the best you’ll find, but the Itsy Bitsy also offers its patrons freshly made sushi hand rolls and over a dozen Asian-inspired appetizers to compliment your meal. The adjoining bar provides refreshing spirits to pair, and as the name suggests, the Itsy Bitsy specializes in whiskey. Open for lunch and dinner daily, the restaurant also caters to the late-night crowds on weekends. The menu may be simple, but the dining experience is anything but basic. When you come in, you get to pick your ramen noodle (thin or thick) and then broth (we love the Shoyu and Miso options), before deciding on the toppings you want included (be sure to try the Soy Cured Egg). The ramen bowls are the perfect size for individual consumption and the sushi hand roll options come in three, four or five roll combinations, where you can choose between salmon, yellowtail, tuna, crab and cucumber. If ramen isn’t your thing, try the small plates, where you can enjoy Itsy Bitsy’s fresh robata skewers, pot stickers, kimchi and Japanese Street Corn among others.

Itsy Bitsy’s cozy vibe and DJ Five curated soundtrack makes for a hip environment to enjoy while grabbing a drink. The spirits are curated and handcrafted from resident mixologist, Daniel Marohnic, who has received local acclaim for his creative cocktail menus at the popular Las Vegas bars, Commonwealth and The Laundry Room. In addition to wide variety of whiskey and custom cocktails, you can also get craft beers and Japanese sake.

Few things warm you up the way good ramen and whiskey can. The next time the craving strikes you while in Las Vegas, remember the name Itsy Bitsy.
