Mediterranean Restaurant Apeiro to Open in Midtown Miami This Fall

Apeiro Kitchen & Bar MiamiApeiro Kitchen & Bar is coming to The Shops at Midtown Miami this fall and is poised to give the Magic City a true taste of the Mediterranean. Apeiro’s first location in Delray, opened in early 2015 and has been wildly successful. The man behind this Mediterranean gem is chef/co-owner David Blonsky, an Illinois native who has worked with some of the country’s biggest names in the food industry. Apeiro has won critical acclaim for Blonsky’s rustic, yet dynamic cookery inspired by the many regions that encompass the Mediterranean, as well as its lively atmosphere and stunning design.

Apeiro Kitchen & Bar is slated to open in October 2015 and will signal the return of an iconic restaurateur and co-owner of Apeiro restaurants, Burt Rapoport. Rapoport is a third-generation restaurant aficionado and award-winning restaurateur who has led an impactful legacy in the South Florida restaurant scene for over three decades.
Apeiro Kitchen & BarIt seems like Miami is in the midst of a Mediterranean restaurant renaissance and so the timing of this Mediterranean Mecca is just right. Apeiro is Greek for infinity, which perfectly highlights the dishes and flavors spanning from Morocco and Italy to Greece and Spain. The menu is broken down into different sections – Small Plates, Soups, Crudo, Salads, Sandwiches, Flatbreads, Grilled & Roasted, Housemade Pasta and Kabobs.

Diners will find signatures such as the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Ribs with rosemary-fig BBQ sauce and pistachio yogurt; Double-Cut Pork Chop with apple mostarda, roasted carrots and Tuscan kale; and house-made Orecchiette with saffron cream, spiced lamb merguez, arugula and pecorino. Other favorites include the Bay Scallops Crudo with spiced green apple, toasted coriander and basil; Prime Rib Gyro, a spin off the classic with spiced lamb and prime rib off the rotisserie, tzatziki sauce, onion, tomato and shredded romaine; and Smashed Beets Salad with local ricotta, pickled radish, baby arugula, candied walnut and truffle-beet vinaigrette. There a number of dishes in the works that will be exclusive to the Miami location.

The menu is mix and match style, which makes pairing wine, beer, and cocktails an easy task. Speaking of libations, Apeiro is sure to become a local hotspot thanks to its creative craft cocktail menu and 30-seat indoor/outdoor illuminated circular bar featuring a stylish design and small tasty plates available into the wee hours.
Apeiro barThe 6,129-square-foot restaurant was designed by Manhas Designs, one of the region’s leading restaurant and hospitality design firms. Apeiro will seat 320 with ample seating options available both indoor and on the covered alfresco patio overlooking the vibrant streets of Midtown. The restaurant will showcase a dynamic mix of traditional and modern design elements. We look forward to a slice of the Mediterranean right in the Magic City.
