Jones the grocer has announced an all-new healthier dining menu for its UAE locations. Executive Chef Alex Ferris and his team has developed the new menu, which includes wheat-free, paleo and vegetarian choices for the health-conscious diner who still wants to eat out even with their ultra-high standards for healthy food.

The new café menu includes items like a lemongrass, pumpkin, and ginger soup that will appeal to those following a paleo diet and innovative vegetarian dishes like burrata and homemade rocket pesto. There are even meals that will appeal to Asian cuisine lovers like seared sea bass on soba noodles with bok choy.

Diners who are looking for heartier meals that are still healthy will be pleasantly surprised as well, as jones the grocer has items like zucchini lasagna with five cheeses: Shropshire blue, grana padano, mimolette, aged cheddar and buffalo mozzarella. An herb and cherry vine tomato salad is served on the side. Another hearty but healthy dish is the crispy duck leg, which is slow-cooked overnight confit-style.

For breakfast, the café is serving up modern, healthier twists on the classics, like pancakes with blueberry compote, which are made with homemade coconut flour.

Each jones the grocer location includes a café, grocery, bakery, and specialized cheese room where the finest artisan cheeses are carefully sourced and selected before being stocked to age until they ripen to peak perfection. When the chain moved into the UAE in 2009 with its first regional store in Abu Dhabi in 2009, it did not take long for its popularity here to grow, and now jones the grocer’s UAE team operates eight locations here in the Emirates.
Jones the grocer is expanding its franchises into new areas as well, including the GCC region, the greater Middle East, Africa, the CIS, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The company said in a press release that the expansion into each of the new markets will be handled either through organic growth or the selection of new franchise partners. The jones the grocer team is already in advanced talks with several potential franchise partners in the UAE and the other target markets. The company said it already has plans to open the next store early next year.
