On Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., head over to Boston’s waterfront to catch a glimpse of the spectacular fireworks display. For a real up close viewing, reserve a space aboard Boston’s historic Tall Ship, the Roseway. The historic schooner was designed as a fishing yacht when it was built back in 1925 and was named after an acquaintance of the builder “who always got her way.” The sailboat set a record in 1934 of catching 74 swordfish in one day. Tomorrow, the cruise departs from Rowes Wharf behind the Boston Harbor Hotel. Proceeds from the cruise support the educational programs of the World Ocean School.

If you would like to head to the theater, My Fair Lady opens at the Lyric Stage tonight. The musical is being shown in the Lyric’s intimate setting telling the tale of a down-on-her-luck London girl who has been taken on as an experiment by a chauvinistic speech therapist. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play, My Fair Lady features the famous songs “I Could Have Danced All Night” and “The Rain in Spain.” My Fair Lady runs here now through October 11. The theater is located at 140 Clarendon Street in Boston.
