It offers imaginative cocktails in a sleek, neo-modern space with plenty of attention to the important details. Vastly different from the Cedar Springs location, the Preston Hollow restaurant and bar caters to Dallas’s one percenters living in Park Cities and the surrounding area. The valet service, despite the strip center location, is testament to the upscale focus of this establishment.

The 33-foot long curved bar adds flowing lines and grace to the bar area with teardrop glass globes overhead. There’s exactly the right amount of light — not enough to be garish but not so dark that you feel like you are in a low budget spy film. A state-of-the-art sound system and color changing LED lights keep it fresh and fun. The joy of this particular location is that it is elegant without being stuffy — perfect for everything from a business lunch to romantic cocktails with the love of your life.

The cocktail menu is, of course, the star. Imaginative, yes, but it’s also almost overwhelmingly extensive. We said almost.

DISH has over 32 cocktails and enough varieties of spirits to keep anyone happy.

Pay homage to Dallas with The Pegasus, a combination of liquore galliano l’autentico, texas ruby grapefruit juice, orange juice, dolin blanc vermouth de chambéry, basil leaf, combier, crème de pamplemousse rose pink-grapefruit liqueur, and pernod absinthe mist. If that’s a bit too complicated for your sophisticated style then the Granddad Old Fashioned with Maker’s Mark cask strength 111.6°, navel orange peel, demerara, and barrel aged whiskey bitters is an expertly mixed classic. There are 32 cocktails to work your way through — take your time. This establishment will definitely be around for awhile.

If you look at the menu and (understandably) have trouble deciding it’s not a problem. The bartender will create a flight containing one ounce of your choice of three spirits. Of course, that does mean that you have to actually be able to decide on just three. . . or six. . . or nine. If it is the latter we hope that you’ve brought a designated driver along. There are vodka flights, tequila flights, rum flights, and peat whisky flights. There’s even a Manhatten flight that would have Don Draper smiling from ear to ear.

Now that the temperatures have dropped to a balmy 85 degrees in expectation of autumn you may want to take the opportunity to relax on the covered patio.
