Following the huge success of Novikov’s inaugural suppliers’ market in June, which saw hundreds of visitors descend on Berkeley Street to enjoy the finest artisanal produce, the Italian Restaurant will be hosting a second event on Wednesday 16 September from 11am to 4pm.
Once again the restaurant will be transformed into a bustling street market where some of Europe’s finest producers and suppliers will be offering up a spectacle of colours, flavours and aromas.
Guests will get to enjoy dazzling displays of meats, fish, cheeses, charcuterie, olive oils, vinegars, pastas, breads, desserts and wines, plus an array of interactive events from Italian wine and grappa tastings through to pairing recipes and butchery demonstrations.
Also on show will be a selection of wonderful autumnal produce – baby radish, baby courgettes, celery, an abundance of micro herbs, the first apples, pears, figs and edible flowers included – freshly harvested from Brent Eleigh, Novikov’s very own two-acre garden project in Suffolk.
Meanwhile anyone who fancies sampling some of the ingredients in situ can partake of the special menu created on the day by the restaurant’s brilliant head chef Marco Torri.
Entry is open to all and free of charge.
