In Sin City, the saying, “bigger is better,” is almost always applied. This goes for our hotels, nightclubs, pool parties and certainly meals. Every hotel on The Strip strives to provide their guests with some of the top restaurants (and accompanying chefs) in the world, but sometimes it’s the hidden gems that really turn our heads. Las Vegas isn’t exactly renowned for having good pizza, but there are some spots that can rival a New York City pie if you know where to look.
One such spot is at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Head to the very top floor and you’ll be met with with award-winning restaurants like STK and Blue Ribbon Sushi, along with their massive, Marquee nightclub, but if you look a little closer, you’ll notice that just past the pool tables lies a small corridor adorned with the covers of some truly vintage vinyl records. This colorful and enticing entrance serves as the gateway to the hotel’s notorious, “Secret Pizza,” joint. While the tucked-away gem bares no name or sign, it’s an absolute “must visit” no matter if you’re staying at the hotel or just partying on The Strip. Open from 11am-5am daily, this cozy, New York-style pizza joint almost always has a line and makes for the perfect, post-partying, comfort food. You can get a big slice of premium cheese pizza for just five bucks, and there’s also pepperoni and veggie options, plus, you can go big with their traditional Sicilian style that would even make Tony Soprano proud. The staff is fast and friendly, considering the very hungry guests lined up out the door. There are even cold beer options on hand, should you want to complete the ultimate pizza pairing.
While the Cosmopolitan is one of the top hotels in Las Vegas when it comes to providing a modern luxury experience, “Secret Pizza” is hands-down their best kept secret. So the next time you’re craving a really good slice on The Strip, dig a little deeper than the usual super chains, we promise it’s worth it.
