Ferrari envy is expected to strike many car enthusiasts during the 2015 Monterey Car Week, which culminates with the iconic Italian sports car being featured at the 65th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Seeing all of the prancing horses galloping around the Peninsula in August will certainly make you long for another for your stable. We’ve got just the one: a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM by Scaglietti. This beaut, even rarer than a 250 GTO, is expected to fetch more than $15 million at the elite RM Sotheby’s auction. This stunner is the highlight of The Pinnacle Portfolio–one of the most significant and valuable private automobile collections to ever come to auction—so exclusive, that it has its own auction on August 13 at the Portola Hotel & Spa and Monterey Conference Center. The 23rd 250 LM built, chassis 6105 was shown at the 1964 Earl’s Court Motor Show and raced frequently throughout England with great success in its early years; more recently, it has competed in the Le Mans Classic and Tour Auto. Certified by Ferrari Classiche as retaining all of its original mechanical components, it is considered by most Ferrari authorities to be in the upper echelon of surviving examples and truly one of the finest examples extant. We agree—these are haute wheels!
