Style Saves, founded by FORD Fashion Stylist Rachael Russell, celebrated their fifth anniversary this year.  The event, called Style Saves Swim, took place this year at the Miami Beach EDITION. The party featured a runway show emceed by The Insider’s Louis Aguirre, music by DJ Irie, a bar by Peroni, Perrier, and Vita Coco and over 500 guests who supported the cause with ticket sales and an online silent auction that began July 9th and included cool items like dinners at Zuma and MC Kitchen, tickets to the American Idol finale and nights at Soho Beach House.

The show featured models wearing Calypso St. Barth, Kai Lanai and ishine365 doing their thing up and down the runway to a very appreciative audience. “It wouldn’t have been such a success without all the support of the donors and supporters in the community. And we’re so grateful to have had such a great five year anniversary, it was so nice to have Louis Aguirre, DJ Irie and everyone here to celebrate, they made it such a special night.

The idea behind the organization is to empower less fortunate children by giving them confidence with new clothing, shoes, accessories, and prescription eyewear for back-to-school.

Style Saves dedicates all funds to their back-to-school event, which will take place on August 22nd and 23rd and offers students the opportunity to “shop” outfits in a department store-style environment before returning for the new school year. This year, the back-to-school event will be hosted at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami and will benefit more than 2000 students from Miami-Dade public schools.
