The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas welcomed one of the greatest composers of the rock era and co-founder of The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, for a special performance at The Chelsea on Friday night.

Joined onstage by childhood friend and another original member of The Beach Boys Alan Jardine, Wilson kept the crowd dancing all night with his iconic Beach Boys sound performing hits such as “California Girls,” “Deuce Coupe,” “Fun, Fun, Fun” and “I Get Around.” Wilson also treated the audience to tracks from his latest solo album No Pier Pressure, which was released earlier this year.

Legendary singer-songwriter and self-taught guitarist Rodriguez opened the show for Wilson, playing a mix of classic covers along with some original songs. Performing on his 73rd birthday, Rodriquez’s set included The Door’s “Light My Fire,” Ritchie Valen’s “La Bamba,” Elton John’s “Your Song” and his original work “Sugarman.”

Upcoming performances at The Chelsea include Brantley Gilbert with special guest Carter Winter on July 24; country singer Willie Nelson with special guest Emi Sunshine on July 26; D’Angelo & The Vanguard on Aug. 21; and Kevin Hart & Friends Comedy All-Stars hosted by comedian Kevin Hart on Sept. 5.
