When it comes to the Florida Keys, everyone knows that “life’s a beach” ━ and at Islamorada’s very own upscale abode, Amara Cay Resort, it’s a glamorous beach at that. Having just undergone a multi-million dollar renovation, this luxury oceanfront property officially re-opened on July 17th; and to make sure everybody knew about it, it hosted a weekend-long soirée guaranteed to keep guests talking “Amara” for more weekends to come.
Kicking off the party with a VIP-only, Friday night fête on the sand, the new locale welcomed hundreds of A-listers, media personalities and South Florida’s finest as they traded their stilettos for flip-flops and danced the night away under the stars. With hot beats by DJ Cardi, a prop-filled photo booth station, in-hotel “selfie spots” and handcrafted cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres from Oltremare Ristorante, the resort’s new Italian-meets-tropical watering hole, this haute evening did not disappoint. But what would a hotel party be if it ended after only one night? Continuing the celebration through the rest of the weekend, Amara Cay treated guests to a complimentary escapade around Islamorada; from boating and watersports at Pelican Cove Resort and Marina, to cocktails at Postcard Inn Beach Resort and a private after party back at Amara Cay’s Sparrows Rum Bar.
As if this three-day, grand opening bash wasn’t already an indication, the newly-renovated Amara Cay Resort is sure to be the crowned jewel of Islamorada. And with its 88 rooms, 22 suites, oceanfront balcony views and all the paradisiacal luxury the Florida Keys is known to provide, this is one piece of treasure just waiting for you to discover it.
Amara Cay Resort is located at 80001 Overseas Highway. It is owned and operated by the award-winning Trust Hospitality Group, which currently has 30 projects in development or existence worldwide.
