MIA: Bianca At Delano and Antinori Celebrate Rosé at First Monthly Wine-Tasting Event

When it’s summertime in Miami — or who are we kidding? Anywhere — there’s nothing that pairs better with a beautiful sunset than a full glass of chilled rosé. And no one knows that better than the genius team over at Delano South Beach and family owned Italian winemaker, Antinori, who recently partnered for the launch of a must-try tasting series designed to bring the world’s best rosés to the Magic City’s hot, South Beach shores.

In the wine business since the late 14th century, when patriarch Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the prestigious Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri, the Antinori family has since become a household name for wine lovers everywhere. In the ranks with some of the most popular wine brands from across the globe, Antinori sets itself apart by making it a family a affair; the company has been entirely family-run and -owned for 26 generations, adding an element of love and compassion to their already award-winning bottles. Inherently Tuscan, the Antinori family takes pride in both Italian tradition and the land from which their grapes are grown; always experimenting with new regions, vineyards, processes and cellars to make their vintages the best that they can be. Their robust Sangioveses, delicate chardonnays and soft, aromatic Chiantis have won them international acclaim, transforming the Antinori family from just a neighbor in Tuscany, to a global sensation.

Antinori

The first of a series of monthly Antinori wine events, this idyllic A Taste of Rosé evening, which took place at the ethereal Bianca at Delano, was one of the first occasions in which the celebrated Antinori brand brought its blush bouquets stateside. Pairing five, carefully selected bottles — Col de Salici Brut Rose’ NV, Montenisa Franciacorta Brut Rose’ NV, Santa Cristina ‘Cipresseto’ Rose’ 2014, Tenuta Guado al Tasso ‘Scalabrone’ Rose’ 2014, and Tormaresca ‘Calafuria’ Rose’ 2014 — with a rotating plate of delectable Delano fruit, cheese and charcuterie, this delicious Tuesday evening saw South Florida’s finest out and about for a spirited night of sipping and sophistication. And making sure the fun doesn’t stop there, Antinori and Delano South Beach have already planned a second installment; in fact, this event plans to occur monthly through September, with each tasting focused on a different grape. Cheers to that!
