The Wheels of Soul Tour rolled into the Pearl at the Palms on Tuesday night with an enthusiastic crowd of live music lovers on hand. From the start of the show, fans were dancing and waving their arms in delight to what was easily one of the best nights of live music ever hosted at the intimate concert venue.

The crowd cheered through performances by Doyle Bramhall II and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. The 59-year-old Jones gave several shout outs for her love for legendary songstress and former Las Vegas headliner Gladys Knight, even covering “Every Beat of My Heart” from Gladys Knight & The Pips.

Tedeschi Trucks Band took the stage in full force seamlessly flowing from song to song with performances including “Do I Look Worried,” “Idle Wind” and “Bound for Glory.”

Bramhall II and Jones came back on stage toward the end of the night to join Tedeschi Trucks Band to perform “Bring It On Home” and “Tell Mama.”

After the show, the band and Palms crew, including booker Danny Zelisko and Palms’ vice president of entertainment Billy Conn, sang “Happy Birthday” to Derek Trucks and presented him with a cake to celebrate his 36th birthday.
