One of Abu Dhabi’s swankiest restaurants, the recently opened p&c by Sergi Arola is a two-michelin starred restaurant boasting a variety of enticing Spanish tapas. Great food, a stunning ambiance and now the addition of JazzArabia, the Middle East’s first jazz radio station, p&c Sergi Arola offers a comprehensive and not-to-missed dining experience.

Arola’s patatas bravas

The menu includes traditional Spanish favorites made with an Arola twist, including paella, patatas bravas, seafood and sweet delights.  For drinks, the venue’s innovative gin concotions, a growing trend in Europe, provides p&c by Sergi Arola with a modern edge.  But it is the restaurant’s recently launched 24/7 jazz radio station that gives it an ambiance like no other place in town. The radio broadcasts a blend of mainstream, Arabic and Latin jazz music, with ‘crossover’ tracks, creating a special mood that entices guests as soon as they arrive.

JazzArabia can be streamed live or via the JazzArabia app, which is available for download from the app store on all smart devices. “The launch of JazzArabia radio station from inside our restaurant is a first for the Middle East,” said Thomas Guss, the hotel’s general manager. “Dining today is more than a meal, it is an experience and we believe jazz and Sergi Arola are a natural blend for creating memorable moments with friends.”

The chief presenter will be Leslie Nachmann, a world gold medal winner at the New York International Radio Awards.  She currently presents on JazzRadio Berlin and on regional and national TV in Germany. Artists featured on JazzArabia include all-time greats Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra, alongside such contemporary jazz stars as Michael Bublé, Diana Krall and Natalie Cole.  Crossover artists will include Amy Winehouse and Sade.  Latin greats will include Gilberto Gil – Brazil’s former culture minister – Tito Puente, Astrud Gilberto and Chick Corea.  Arabic jazz will feature such artists as Ahmed Abdul-Malik, Anouar Brahem and Rabih Abou-Khalil.  Rather than having separate programs for each genre, JazzArabia will mix the different music styles providing an increasingly interactive musical experience.

So get ready for succulent tapas, a cutting-edge ambiance and fresh Jazz tunes throughout the night. p&c Sergi Arola has it made.
