The 2015 World Superyacht Awards Winners Are….

Boat International, the media group serving the yacht industry and the organizers of the World Superyacht Awards, has announced the 2015 winners at a gala in Amsterdam, The Netherland. In attendance were the leading superyacht designers, builders, industry members and yacht owners.

The World Superyacht Awards names the crème de la crème in motor and sailing yachts in a selection of sizes. It also distinguishes the luxury rebuilt and refitted yachts. In addition, the Voyager’s Award, a special award, recognizes the world-roaming yachts.

Below are the vessel winners.

Motor Yacht of the Year: Grace E:

According to Boat International, this particular category was one of—if not—the most difficult class to judge. However, the Kismet won the award, as a result of a secret ballot, for its all-rounder construction, with appealing exterior design, deck areas, and its tasteful interior that suits a wide audience.

This yacht, which was neck and neck with Saramour, was admired for the quality of all aspects of the yacht’s construction and performance, including the stated range of 5,400 nautical miles at a cruise of 10 knots.

Interior Design: Owner’s family
Fuel Capacity: 1.4 million litres
Range: 17,000 miles
This cruise liner sailed through the Ross Sea, Macquarie Island, and the Balleny Islands, where they crossed into the Antarctic Circle. The highlight of this journey is when the vessel was taken to the most southerly location ever to be reached by any vessel, which is noted in the Guinness World Records.
