The biggest and brightest talents in Bollywood are descending upon Dubai this week for the first-ever Arab Indo Bollywood Awards (AIBAGULF), scheduled for May 29, 2015, at Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse. Karan Johar and Manish Paul are hosting the star-studded event, while Neha Dhupia will be greeting and interviewing guests during the Golden Carpet Ceremony.
In all, more than 150 Bollywood stars will attend the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards, according to the event’s website. The Meet Brothers, Kanika Kapoor and Shiamak Davar will be performing during the Bollywood extravaganza, and Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra will also be making appearances. The finale will boast performances by Bollywood Prince Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The Arab Indo Bollywood Awards have already kicked off with the release of the nominees for the coveted awards. An eight-member panel selected the hopeful contenders, which the public can vote on to assist in selecting the winner in each category.
Actor and producer Arbaz Khan served on the jury to select the nominees. In a statement on the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards website, he said, “We have validated every category and entrant and after thorough scrutiny and mutual consent, we have arrived at the final nomination list. We are exhilarated and it is definitely going to be an emotional moment for all of us.”
The Arab Indo Bollywood Awards is certain to be a fabulous event, lasting three full star-filled days and glittering nights. The Bollywood Awards events begin with a roadshow to allow fans a preview of the ceremony and nominees, as well as more time to experience their favorite Bollywood celebrities. Attendees will be able to spend more than four hours interacting with the stars and enjoying performances from Khan, Chopra, Fernandez, Dhupia and more.
Among this year’s hottest Bollywood categories at the awards show are Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and Actor in a Leading Role, Best Performance in a Comic Role for Males and Females, and others. Among the Bollywood nominees for Best Actress are Kangana Ranaut for her role in Queen and Deepika Padukona for Finding Fanny. Priyanka Chopra has also been nominated for her role in Mary Kom. Additionally nominated is Alia Bhatt for 2 States, while Parineeti Chopra has been nominated for Hasse Toh Phasee.

For Best Actor in a Leading Role, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has been nominated for his role in Hyder, Salman Khan has been nominated for Kick, and Aamir Khan has been nominated for his role in PK. Varun Dhawan has been nominated for Humpty Sharma Ki Delhaniya, and Sanjay Mishra has been nominated for Ankhon Dekhi.
