Chateau Lagrezette Wine dinner at The Forge

Richemont board member turned winemaker, Alain Dominique Perrin hosted a special dinner with Haute Living’s Kamal Hotchandani and restaurateur Shareef Malnik to celebrate Chateau Lagrezette, his very special French Malbec wine. Perrin is an emblematic figure in the luxury goods world and is known for making Cartier the coveted brand it is today.

Miami City Ballet Gala 2015

Event chairs Ana and Robert Barlick oversaw the 2015 Miami City Ballet Gala, which kicked off with a champagne toast by Christofle of Paris. Highlights of the evening included a $1 million pledge by Claudia and Steven Perles made to the company for its 30th anniversary season in 2016 and the preview of Heatscape, an artistic film installation featuring members of the Miami City Ballet by Gil Green. The film is inspired by this season’s Program IV, featuring a collaboration between Justin Peck and Shepard Fairey.

South  Beach Wine  & Food Festival  2015

The South Beach Wine & Food Festival 2015 was one of the best yet. Chocked with celebs and great foodie gatherings, Martha Stewart mingled at the Best of the Best and hosted the Dolce Brunch at Juvia. Debi Mazar and husband Gabriele Corcos held court at Ronzoni’s 100th Aniversary Al Fresco Feast and Meatopia turned out to be the carnivore dream it was intended with The Forge’s Christopher Lee being one of the favorites.

Panerai’s Sailing Heals Season Kickoff

Nonprofit organization, Sailing Heals, docked at Officine Panerai’s flagship Bal Harbour boutique to kick off the luxury watchmaker’s annual sponsorship of the event’s 2015 sailing season. North American Panerai President Rafael Alvarez was onboard to help Haute Living Publisher & CEO Kamal Hotchandani, a founding member, present a $20,000 check donated by Panerai to Sailing Heals. The organization offers ailing patients therapeutic sailing experiences.

 

Longines Global Champions Tour

Longines kicked off its 15-city Global Champions Tour in Miami Beach. The event is truly an A-list event in the world of show jumping. It is known to have the biggest purse— $1 million in prize money across 5 classes being fought for by the world’s top 30 riders. The three-day competition featured a very important roster of riders including Athina Onassis de Miranda and Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani of Qatar.

 Gil Dezer’s 40th Birthday Celbration

 

Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development, celebrated his 40th birthday on Saturday, February 28th. The party was an extravagant barefoot beach bash behind the Trump International Beach Resort, one of the eight developments Dezer has developed. The evening concluded with a birthday cake—a replica of his widely-popular Porsche Design Tower, underneath a dazzling display of fireworks that majestically lit up the night sky.

Women of Tomorrow’s 18th Anniversary Gala at Mandarin Oriental

 


Hotel Mandarin Oriental, raising almost $800,000 for the program. Funds were raised via a live and silent auction with items from Neiman Marcus, Roger Vivier, Saint Laurent, Prada, a 2015 Jaguar F-Type, and more. Women of Tomorrow founder, Jennifer Valoppi gave pop artist James Rosenquist the organization’s first Spirit of Tomorrow Award after donating a work worth $200,000 to the organization in 2014. Most South Florida high schools have girls in the Women of Tomorrow program, and, on average there about 20 girls involved per school.

Maria Sharapova Celebrates Haute Living Cover with Porsche

Porsche’s brand ambassador, Maria Sharapova, celebrated her Haute Living magazine cover at SLS Lux’s stunning sales center in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. Sharapova pulled up to the event in a chic Porsche 911, wearing a springy dress and Louboutin heels that got everyone talking. The event marked the beginning of the Miami Open and was attended by VIPs including Yolanda and Jeff Berkowitz, Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Grieco, and Haute Living Ambassador Alicia Piazza.

Michael Kors Palm Beach

The Women’s Board of The Boys’ Club of New York hosted their annual luncheon at a posh waterfront estate in Palm Beach. Guest of honor, Michael Kors, showed his Spring 2015 collection in an informal show during lunch. Philanthropic ladies who support the organization attended, including Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, Lourdes Fanjul, Hilary Geary Ross, and Kelly Klein.  For more than a decade the Women’s Board has been holding annual fashion shows in the spring for members to help raise funds for the cause.

 

TAG Heuer Opens Design District

 

TAG Heuer celebrated their grand opening in the Design District the same weekend as they sponsored Miami’s E Prix race. The evening included ceremonial cutting of the ribbon by racecar driver Bruno Senna. TAG’s tag line is “Don’t Crack Under Pressure” – a message which was throughout the store, and illustrated in a piece of art created live by street artist Jona Cerwinske.

 

ECJ Lux Celebrates Opening Aboard Usher

 

 

Haute Time and East Coast Jewelers celebrated the opening of their new boutique, ECJ Lux in Boca Raton’s chic Mizner Park. The celebration called for a private dinner aboard Usher, a 157′ super yacht built by Delta Marine. Dinner was a four-course affair on board with East Coast Jeweler Bobby Yampolsky, Haute Living CEO Kamal Hotchandani, Kevin Lyttle, and pals. The watch-themed soiree took place during the Miami International Boat Show and raised a glass to the expanding retailer’s portfolio with locations on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, and soon to be opening in Charlotte, North Carolina.
