April 2 was a day of celebration for new author Brit Morin of Marin and a few San Francisco real estate agents whose popularity is about to skyrocket. Read on to find out why.

Females flocked to the Rebecca Minkoff store on Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights to celebrate the release of Morin’s debut book, Homemakers: A Domestic Handbook for the Digital Generation. Alison Pincus (One King’s Lane), Jessica Lessin (The Information) and Allison Speer (Allison Speer PR) hosted the evening soiree that had plenty of bubbly, bites and books.
Morin, founder and CEO of the popular online media and e-commerce platform Brit + Co has been called the digital Martha Stewart. In her whopping 448-page book, a new manifesto for the modern homemaker in the digital age, the entrepreneur reimagines homemaking for the twenty-first century. While today’s generation thrives in the virtual world, they like to work and create in the physical world. Morin inspires you to combine the best of analog and digital, to help you reconnect with your inner creative child-the one who used to love to draw, to build, and to play-to make your home a more creative, functional, and beautiful place.
Full of captivating, colorful spreads, step-by-step DIYs, tips, and unique ideas, Homemakers explores a range of domestic skills room by room in a house, from cooking advice in the kitchen to health and beauty tips in the bathroom. Simple, beautiful, and stylish, it offer ideas for creative living to encourage and enable the digital generation to make.
And Morin definitely knows a thing or two about tech. Before founding Brit + Co., the new mom who is on a whirlwind book tour worked at Apple on iTunes and then spent four years at Google. Congrats Brit!

It’s been nearly nine months since the cable network Bravo announced that it was expanding its hit franchise, Million Dollar Listing, to San Francisco. Now we know which real estate agents will star in Million Dollar Listing San Francisco, set to debut July 8, 2015 and which follows the lives of three ambitious hot-shot real estate agents. Of course, anyone who lives here knows that a million dollars won’t buy you anything in San Francisco but that’s beside the point.
Million Dollar Listing already airs in Miami, New York and Los Angeles, which coincidentally are also the other three cities where Haute Living puts out print magazines as well.
Here’s the skinny on who is in Million Dollar Listing San Francisco:
A native San Franciscan, Justin Fichelson is one of the Bay Area’s top luxury brokers at Climb Real Estate. He is the true embodiment of a real estate shark and credits his success to his exclusive roster of clients and unparalleled knowledge of the market. Fichelson is a master networker, and not only knows the key venture capitalists, angel investors and founders of Silicon Valley’s most successful and innovative companies, but is personally friends with them. From his colorful suits to his unconventional living situation, he embodies the eccentric persona of a true San Franciscan and is always working his social network to land his next big listing.
Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and raised in the bay area of Northern California, Roh Habibi has only been in the real estate game for three years, quickly clawing his way to the top and making his mark in San Francisco working at Coldwell Banker Previews International. Last year, he placed in the top 6%, ranking #255 out of 4,100 realtors in the San Francisco Association and served as the chairman of their Young Professional Network. Always dressed to the nines, he’s a power negotiator and will do whatever it takes to close the deal. An orthodox Muslim, he works hard to repay his parents for the big sacrifices they made fleeing Afghanistan when he was growing up. Keeping a good work life balance is a challenge for him as he juggles his career, wife, Shugufa, and new daughter, Zahra. From praying and surfing to breakdancing and putting on a power suit, Habibi eats, breathes and sleeps high-end real estate.
With more than a decade of experience, Andrew Greenwell is the CEO and principal at Venture Sotheby’s International Realty, specializing in ultra-luxury real estate in the San Francisco area. Throughout his career, Greenwell has sold nearly four billion dollars of real estate between his own sales and the deals he has overseen as CEO. With a work hard, play harder approach, Greenwell’s philosophy is “go big or don’t go at all.” Driven to succeed, this real estate shark is extremely impatient and wants everything done yesterday. He doesn’t hold his tongue, and if you cross him you better sleep with one eye open. When he isn’t buying the domain names of his competitors, Greenwell is busy planning his extravagant wedding with his fiancé Paal.
No one is more overjoyed with Habibi’s inclusion than San Francisco’s notable real estate agent Joel Goodrich, who sent an e-mail blast with the good news:
“The Habibi Group has been a phenomenal partner with Joel Goodrich Luxury Real Estate on several recent record-breaking listings ever since filming has started, and Roh’s association with the Emmy Award winning “Million Dollar Listing” franchise puts us in an amazing position to expose San Francisco’s most exceptional properties and new developments to an international viewership — and we can’t be more excited about it!”
We can’t wait for the first episode. It’s going to be haute!
