Erdem, the haute womenswear designer, is still three weeks away from his first runway fashion show in San Francisco, but there was plenty of buzz about him when Saks Fifth Avenue San Francisco welcomed the ladies of the San Francisco Opera Guild to an Erdem launch event on Feb. 24. Hosted by co-chairs Claire Fluhr and Anne Marie Massocca, along with President Charlot D. Malin, the women enjoyed shopping Erdem’s Spring/Summer Collection.

He’ll present his Fall/Winter 2015 Collection when the Opera Guild and Saks SF join forces to present “Fashion Forward: An Evening with Erdem” at Pier 27, the new San Francisco Cruise Terminal on Wed., March 25. Proceeds from the event benefit San Francisco Opera Guild’s award-winning music education programs, which have served children in Bay Area schools for over 75 years. Annually, more than 50,000 students in nearly 200 schools throughout Northern California receive the benefits of arts education as only opera can deliver.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by the runway fashion show, a brief live auction and an after-party. Guests at the Couture level and above will be invited to a VIP Party to meet the designer that evening and a private brunch with Erdem the following morning. Tickets are priced at $375 (Chic) and $575 (Prêt-a-porter) for individual tickets and $1,500 (Bespoke), $2,500 (Couture), $5,000 (Avant-Garde) and $10,000 (Haute Couture) for two tickets.
