Calvin Harris: $66 million
Adam Richard Wiles A.K.A Calvin Harris is the top cash king. Calvin Harris has had immense success in the EDM world, but also in the pop world. He has working with artists such as Ne-Yo, Kelis, Rihanna, Big Sean, Gwen Stefani, and many more. This DJ has taken the top charts around the world by storm. Other than landing gigs at EDM festivals and other festivals like Coachella, Harris continues to play at megaclub Hakkasan in Las Vegas. Former grocery store stocker turned DJ is now on top of the world.
Steve Aoki: $23 million
Aoki may be number five on the list, but he proves that’s the busiest of all DJ’s playing up to three shows a day sometimes. This means that he schedules at least double the amount of shows of anyone on this list. Aoki cracks the top five after playing 277 shows in our scoring period. He sometimes plays three shows in a day, and his schedule had almost double the amount of shows of anyone on our list. It’s pretty clear that Steve Aoki takes his gigs very seriously and wishes to share his music with as much people as possible. Aoki’s endorsements include Guitar Center, Scion, Bud Light.
Tiesto: $28 million
Dutch DJ Tiesto is the second oldest DJ on this list. Throughout the years he has proven to be an accomplished DJ. Back in 2003, he became the first DJ to host a concert in a 25,000 capacity stadium; this was the sold-out ‘Tiesto In Concert’ world tour. From Ibiza to Las Vegas where he was a residency with club Hakkasan, many say he is one of the greatest DJ’s.
Avicci: $28 million
Avicii, the 24 year old Swedish DJ made waves with his debut album True. “Wake Me Up,” one of the songs in his album became the first electronic song to move more than 4 million units in the United States, ever. You can find Avicii on the road spinning his infectious tracks at clubs around the world. With success at such a young age, Avicii has got the whole world ahead of him and by the looks of it he’s ready to move on to bigger better things.
David Guetta: $30 million
David Guetta is the oldest DJ on this list and the second highest paid DJ in the world. Guetta has proved that it’s never too late to make dreams a reality releasing his first album ‘Just a Little More Love’ in 2002. The Paris born DJ and producer has had numerous amount of hits working and collaborating with an extensive list of artists such as Rihanna, Fergie, Kelly Rowland, and Akon, just to name a few. David Guetta isn’t afraid of branching out of branching out of his electro-house comfort zone and experimenting with hip-hop, alternative rock, R&B, and so on.
