Easter in London: Harrods Unveils Fabergé Window Displays

Luxury British retailer Harrods has joined forces with iconic Russian jeweler Fabergé for an impressive augmented reality window display and pop-up that will delight visitors in the run-up to Easter.

The Brompton Road windows will play host for a limited time only to a giant 3-D egg. To enjoy the full experience, visitors are encouraged to enter the store and pick their favourite Fabergé design, which can be customised to make the experience even more unique. This is then projected onto the interactive egg outside the store in a dazzling spectacle of light and colour.

An interactive boutique will also be running inside the store between March 3rd and 28th. Customers can purchase their chosen design via TheFabergé Egg Bar or browse many of the Fabergé delicate designs and motifs, as well as their selection of fine jewels, all available to buy. A Consultation Bar will be on hand for those who want to commission more special pieces and personalise their orders. As an extra special treat, Harrods will also be holding a traditional Easter Egg hunt—giant eggs designed by various artists will be on display throughout the store and these can be logged into the system through a smartphone app. Successful finders of the eggs will be entered into a draw to win one of three highly coveted Fabergé pendants.

Fans of the luxury jewellery company will also get to see an original Fabergé Apple Blossom Egg designed in 1901 and crafted in gold, diamonds and nephrite. Along with other beautiful and historic treasures, this offering inside luxury retailer Harrods will be the first time that such masterpieces will be on public display in the UK in a non-museum space.
