Celebrate All Things Gin at Gin Bop

Rivington Grill in Shoreditch will be hosting Gin Bop to celebrate gin in all its guises, particularly since the bar has now hit the 100 bottle mark on their “Perfect Serve” gin menu. Gin Bop will take place on Thursday, 26 March from 5pm to 1am, and will bring together five renowned gin brands – Hendrick’s, Bathtub, The Botanist, Chase and Plymouth – to create “a unique and sophisticated experience”. The purchase of one ticket to Gin Bop will not only entitle the holder to an evening of fun and frivolity and some sustenance in the form of a Rivington fish ‘n’ chip cone, but also free entry to the tombola, great tunes from Old Hat Jazz Band and one of the bespoke gin cocktails.

Each gin brand will be creating three cocktails, including their own inventive take on the classic Gin & Tonic using the finest artisan tonic water by Fever-Tree, interesting flavours and unique garnishes. Chase and Plymouth will set up shop behind Rivington’s extensive, stripped back L-shaped bar. Hendrick’s will be in the main restaurant sharing the space with Bathtub, and their wonderfully eccentric Henrick’s bus will be parked outside on Rivington Street. The Botanist will be touting their wares in the raised area on the left of the entrance.

Chase An Elegant Twist 2.

The brands’ mixologists have been hard at work, creating drinks that will delight and quench in equal measure. Each cocktail will be a steal at £7; for those needing a little break from the gin half way through the evening, Innes and Gunn beer will be available at £3.50. Soft drinks will be £2.50 each and some typical Rivington snacks including Scotch eggs and sliders will be £3.50 each.

Bathtub Gin's Toast to Tunbridge

For those who fancy a little competition, there will be a tombola, and winners will be able to take home a gin hamper (with a bottle from each brand); other prizes include a £100 voucher for a lunch or dinner at Rivington Shoreditch; 4 free G&Ts from the extensive Gin Menu.

Keeping everyone on their toes until the late hours will be the Old Hat Jazz Band, performing classic favourite tunes of the ‘20s and ‘30s. Whether a gin novice or enthusiast, or simply looking for a great fun evening, Gin Bop at Rivington Grill Shoreditch is the one.
