The DCOTA (Design Center of the Americas) has long-served haute Florida designers as a one-stop shop for everything related to the luxury interior design industry. Today, President and owner of DCOTA, Charles S. Cohen announced the addition of two Italian showrooms to the already bustling Dania Beach interior design campus. The two new showrooms, Lamborghini Torino Casa at FORMITALIA d (which specializes in luxury furniture for exclusive homes, hotels, offices, and yachts) and Aston Martin at FORMITALIA d (which specializes in exclusive interiors, wallpaper, lighting and accessories) joins the over 60 designer showrooms already open at the complex.
The sprawling campus is already home to a prestigious list of tenants that includes VERSACE , Minotti, Andrew Martin, Baker Knapp & Tubbs, David Sutherland, Donghia, Judith Norman Collection, Jeffrey Michaels, among others. The addition of these two new showrooms comes amidst a large expansion of offerings from the DCOTA. Three new showrooms (NEFF of Fort Lauderdale, Holland & Sherry, and VERSACE Home at Abitare) were introduced late last year, while another three (AbitareMinotti, Crestron, and The Shade Store) are slated to open later this year.
As part of its 30th anniversary schedule of special events, DCOTA recently concluded Winter Market 2015, a two-day event full of demonstrations and discussions featuring legendary designers, editors and industry icons. The event included the 2015 Stars of Design and Stars on the Rise Awards, which awarded achievement in various areas of design.
