Celebrity fashion icon, model and socialite Olivia Palermo has teamed up with luxury brand Aspinal of London in order to design a limited edition Marylebone tote in a nod to one of the capital’s trendiest locales. The project is in aid of ADCAM, a charity that works to develop cooperation projects and social responsibility initiatives in the Masai Mara in Kenya, with 100% of the profits being donated for this cause.
Launching in March, there will only be 30 totes for the lucky few, with the design resembling a re-working of Aspinal’s original Marylebone tote. Each beautifully crafted piece will be numbered and will feature the tech specs that make Aspinal’s accessories so popular—users can, for example, charge their phone and iPad on the go using the tote. Retailing at £995, Palermo’s ‘Marylebone Tech Tote’ aims to provide a fashionable way of giving something back to the community—in this case, the funds will be used to build a new school and to support primary education and local artisans in the area.
“Working with Aspinal and having them lend their support to ADCAM, a charity whose initiative I support, has been a stylish and meaningful experience,” said Palermo to Vogue. “London is my second home,” she added, referencing the brand’s British heritage and strong ties to the capital’s stylish aesthetic. After the fashion week rush in February, there can be little doubt that Olivia’s stylish and tech-friendly tote will be top of every stylish must-have list.
