Grammy Award-winning duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis arrived at Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay at 12:30 a.m. Friday morning wearing leather jackets, comfortable tees and gold chain necklaces.

The duo hit the stage at 1 a.m. with their dance crew “The Macklorettes,” for their live performance at Light’s new weekly concert series, “The Beat.” The duo’s high-energy set opened with “Thrift Shop” followed by “White Walls,” “Same Love” (with the audience singing along) and “Irish Celebration,” where Macklemore proudly waved an Irish flag on stage. “Irish Celebration” was a late add to the set list.

Macklemore explained that he rode the tram earlier in the day and overheard a group of his fans who would be attending Light that night saying they hoped to hear “Irish Celebration.”

Not only did Macklemore turn around and surprise his fans on the tram, he included the track and dedicated it those two fans.

The duo closed out their show with “Can’t Hold Us” and Macklemore’s signature crowd surf. A 12th man flag, a symbol of the Seattle Seahawks, could also be seen waving proudly in honor of their upcoming appearance in the Super Bowl.
